Our Lady of Mercy Senior Primary School
Welcome to Our Lady of Mercy Senior School. This is an 18 teacher catholic primary school catering for girls, 3rd standard to 6th standard.
- The principal is Ms. Maria Doyle and she is always available to meet parents in the school or on 051-875993.
- The Deputy Principal is Mrs. Eileen Leamy.
- The 3rd standard teachers are: Ms. Bridin Holohan, Mrs. Gillian Casey and Mrs. Nora O’Dwyer.
- The 4th standard teachers are: Ms. Deirdre Delahunty, Mrs. Cait Moher and Mrs. Bernie Walsh
- The 5th standard teachers are: Ms. Sarah Morrison, Mrs. Helen Walsh and Mrs. Annette Kehoe.
- The 6th standard teachers are: Ms. Hilary McCarthy, Mrs. Eimear Downey and Ms. Maria Kennedy.
- The special needs assistant assigned to 3rd to 6th classes are Mrs. Síle Elliott, Mrs. Joan Holden, Mrs. Madelaine Casey, Mrs. Marian McLoughlin & Ms. Rhonda Halley.
Our Lady of Mercy Senior School have an exellent ‘Resource Team’ in place to offer supports to children who for one reason or another are finding some aspect of their school life difficult.
- The ‘resource team’ are: Mrs. Sinead O’Carroll, Mrs. Louise Dooley, Ms. Anne Hetherington & Sr. Pauline Drohan.

School Structure
| 8:50 | Children are collected from playground and directed to classroom by teacher. |
| 11:00 - 11:15 | Teachers on duty supervise small break on playground (weather permitting), supervision indoors on wet days. |
| 1:00 - 1:15 | Children remain in classroom while teachers supervise lunch. Bell rings to allow children out to play @ 1:10pm. |
| 1:15 - 1:30 | Teachers on duty supervise children’s playtime. Children return to their classrooms at 1:30pm. |
| 2:30 | Children leave school via designated exits accompanied by Class Teacher. |
“The school will open to receive pupils at the hour of 8.50a.m. daily. No responsibility is accepted for pupils arriving before that time. Classes will end each day at 2.30p.m. Parents who wish to have their children escorted home should make their own arrangements to have them met at the school gate and the person to escort them should be at the school not later than 2.30p.m. as the school cannot accept responsibility for looking after children after that time”.
