Holy Family Junior Mercy Primary School
Welcome to Holy Family Junior Mercy Primary School. This is a 20 teacher catholic primary school catering for girls, Junior Infants to 2nd standard.
- The principal is Mrs. Agnes Brick and she is always available to meet parents in the school or on 051-875993.
- The Deputy Principal is Mrs. Anne Gunning who is one of our learning support team this year.
- The Junior Infant teachers are: Ms. Mary Giles, Ms. Lisa Maunsell, Ms. Mary O Connor & Ms. Ruth Murphy.
- The Senior Infant teachers are: Mrs. Niamh Kindlon, Mrs. Susan O Mahony & Mrs. Susan D’Arcy.
- The special need assistant assigned to Senior Infants is Mrs. Vivienne Hickey.
- The Rang 1 teachers are: Mrs Bróna Clancy, Mrs. Ciara Kavanagh & Mrs. Aoife Flynn.
- The special needs assistants assigned to Rang 1 are Mrs. Catherine Coughlan & Ms. Michelle Murtagh,
- The Rang 2 teachers are: Ms. Lisa O Sullivan, Mrs Catherine Casey & Mrs. Claire Phelan.
- The special needs assistant assigned to Rang 2 is Mrs. Annette Stewart.
Holy Family Junior School have an exellent ‘Resource Team’ in place to offer supports to children who for one reason or another are finding some aspect of their school life difficult.

School Structure
| 8:50 | Children are collected from playground and directed to classroom by teacher. |
| 11:00 - 11:15 | Teachers on duty supervise small break on playground (weather permitting), supervision indoors on wet days. |
| 12:30 - 12:45 | Infants supervised in the yard for playtime. Rang 1 & Rang 2 remain in classroom while teachers supervise lunch. Bell rings to allow these children out to play @ 12:45pm. |
| 12:45 - 1:00 | Teachers on duty supervise children’s playtime in the yard / indoors. Children return to their classrooms at 1:00pm.Infants eat in their classrooms supervised by teachers on duty. |
| 1:30 | Children leave school via designated exits accompanied by Class Teacher. (Junior & Senior Infants) |
| 2:20 | Children leave school via designated exits accompanied by Class Teacher. (Rang 1 & Rang 2) |
“The school will open to receive pupils at the hour of 8.50a.m. daily. No responsibility is accepted for pupils arriving before that time. Classes will end each day at 1.30p.m. for Junior & Senior Infants and 2.30p.m. for first & second classes. Parents who wish to have their children escorted home should make their own arrangements to have them met at the school gate and the person to escort them should be at the school no later than 1.30p.m. / 2.30p.m. as the school cannot accept responsibility for looking after children after this time.” Fr.
